The SPECIFIC team, across all five cities, consists of the following individuals:

Professor Tim Schwanen

University of Oxford

Tim is the SPECIFIC Project Coordinator and leads the SPECIFIC team in Bristol. He is the Director of the Transport Studies Unit, Professor of Transport Geography in the School of Geography and the Environment, and a Supernumerary Fellow at St Anne’s College.

Professor Aleksandra Lis-Plesińska

Adam Mickiewicz University

Aleksandra leads the SPECIFIC team in Poznan. She is an Associate Professor at the Department of Anthropology and Ethnology and the Director of the Research Centre on Environmental and Energy Challenges at Adam Mickiewicz University.

Professor Anke Strüver

University of Graz

Anke leads the SPECIFIC team in Graz. She is Professor for Human Geography at the University of Graz, head of the RCE Graz-Styria (Centre for Sustainable Social Transformation) and leader of the research group “urban HEAP” at the Institute of Geography and Regional Science.

Dr Marc Dijk

Maastricht University

Marc leads the SPECIFIC team in Maastricht. He is a lecturer, research fellow and research coordinator at the Maastricht Sustainability Institute (MSI), School of Business and Economics.

Dr Francesca Cellina

University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI)

Francesca leads the SPECIFIC team in Bellinzona. She is a senior researcher at the Institute of Applied Sustainability to the built environment (ISAAC) at SUPSI, where she is responsible for the “Sustainability and Society” team.

Dr Zakiyya Adam

University of Oxford

Zakiyya is a Research Associate at the Transport Studies Unit (TSU).

Dr Marcin Krassowski

Adam Mickiewicz University

Cultural anthropologist, ethnographer and postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Anthropology and Ethnology. He specialises in environmental anthropology and studies of intentional communities. In his previous academic work, he focused on culture and landscape transformations in European ecovillages.

Caterina Berlusconi

University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (SUPSI)

Caterina is a PhD candidate with a diverse academic background in environmental sciences and international relations. Currently, her main research focus is set on sustainability applied to local mobility.
