(Sustainable) Urban Freight Project
Through a series of trials, the project aims to enable goods and services to be delivered with fewer detrimental effects on the environment whilst supporting the growth of businesses. The first trials focused on the use of e-cargo bikes – a year long trial that saw e-cargo bikes used for deliveries instead of vans by a number of local institutions, including Bristol Royal Infirmary (BRI), The University of the West of England and Bath Spa University. The West of England Combined Authority invested £920,000 in the scheme.
